國防部自爆601旅長簡聰淵少將也曾帶家人賞機，起因國防部前天派總督察長陳添勝中將，與總政戰局等單位專成專案小組接管全案，到601旅一個個問，並要求官兵自白，有官兵供出簡也帶家人看機線索，而查出全案。
在此同時，陸軍負責調查全案時，簡聰淵也主動說明大年初二帶家人參觀阿帕契的經過。
專案小組目前仍駐在601旅，外傳「機密賞機團」未爆，軍方高層說，若發現有任何違規參訪情事，不管階級，那怕是2顆星或3顆星，一定依規定辦理，絕不包庇。國防部總督察長位階相當於副參謀總長，陳添勝到601旅蹲點，代表國防部長高廣圻查清事實的決心。
將領表示，由於檢調單位已把601旅所有資料查扣，因此，國防部專案小組只能靠鼓勵官兵自白自清等方式，逐一盤查詳問所有官兵，始得知相關線索。至於自白提供線索的官兵階級，軍方官員並不願透露。
